One day at a time, Hyrule begins the lengthy process of recovering. Every day, just a little more progress is made toward restoring the land to its former glory. It will take time, but everything will once again be as it should.
However, buried beneath the hope and determination to rebuild, something darker lurks. A sinister will that refuses to die. That hungers to wreak havoc on this already wounded land. To tear down all that is good, and replace it all with utter malignance.
The darkness may have given way to the light, but it is never truly gone.
