Peter nodded his agreement. "That was a mean thing to do, for them to scare us all like that, just to try to get rid of her!"
"Rotten," Davy put in firmly.
"Well, we oughta all count ourselves lucky that they only settled for scare tactics," Mike reminded them. "Where there's a will, there's usually somebody who wants to bump off the other beneficiaries."
"Doesn't he do an excellent job of putting things into perspective," Micky muttered, rolling his eyes as Peter gulped.
