At Tamara’s first photography exhibit, Viola stopped in front of a black‑and‑white portrait. “I like this one. There’s something… magical about it.”
Francesco stepped closer, arms crossed, studying the close‑up of a smiling elderly woman. “What’s so special about it?”
Viola tilted her head. “It reminds me of the first time I saw you smile without any defenses.”
Francesco gave her a puzzled look. “Okay. Maybe we have a similar hairstyle. But I definitely don’t have all those wrinkles.”
“No,” she said softly. “But I love when you smile that openly. You should do it more often.”
