Title: When to Fold
Fandom: The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel
Characters/pairings: Rean/Crowe
Word count: 200
Rating: 15/slash

He drew his arms back in, indicating that he was folding, then realised his mistake a split second later. His luck was lousy and so far it was close but there was a reasonable chance he'd still win - especially with the way that Rean, who couldn't bluff to save his life, was looking so miserably down at his cards. Recently he was losing his edge. Half the times he insisted he hadn't been sneaking out of campus to gamble for money when it was strictly against the school policy, he really wasn't - he just didn't trust himself not to lose all his money again and have to explain where it was gone.
Today didn't count, by the way, because they weren't gambling for money, they were gambling for clothes. Maybe this was the problem - lack of motivation. The bad consequence of losing was that he got to undress in front of Rean, something he enjoyed doing anyway. He'd rather see Rean naked, of course, but the look on the other boy's face when he tried to pretend he wasn't ogling Crow was hilarious. Did he really not realise that was the whole point?
Later, they played Blade.
