“Got lucky; the huntsman turned stool pigeon. Spilled every bean there was. Said the Queen was in back of it all. Didn’t take much work to get a warrant on her.”
“How’d she take it when you showed up?”
“Fought like a wildcat. Kept claiming some magic mirror drove her to it. I’ve seen some obsessive nuts, but she took the cake!”
“I’ll bet. Good thing the gang Snow’s been hiding out with were on to that apple con.”
“You’re tellin’ me!”
