A simple glimpse in the mirror and Buffy already felt like she was drowning.
The reality of her resurrection weighed on her chest, with raw memories flooding her mind in a suffocating wave as panic fluttered in her stomach, frantic and relentless.
In the midst of it, another memory surfaced—the soothing sound of Spike’s voice as he prepared to clean the scratches on her hands. Somehow his steady presence had been a balm to her frayed nerves.
Driven by a frantic need for that calm, Buffy found herself walking toward Spike’s crypt… a refuge from the flood inside her head.
