Buffy slid out of the still warm sheets and slipped her clothes back on in silence, with her back to Spike.
He lit a cigarette. “I’ll see you tomorrow then?”
“Don’t get any ideas. This was just a fluke.”
He smirked, taking a drag. “It’s hardly a fluke anymore when I’ve been getting lucky for five nights in a row.”
“Sorry to rain on your lucky parade, but this means nothing,” she said curtly, finally turning to him. “So you can stop trying to impress me with the ambiance.”
When she left, he blew out the candles one by one.
