From somewhere outside, there came the melodic twinkling sound of chimes approaching.
Micky's eyes widened. "Hey! It's the ice cream truck," he crowed, tearing to the door of the Pad.
Mike watched as an equally enthused Peter and Davy crowded after. "Guys, c'mon. It's not a race," he called, slowly coming along behind them. "There'll be plenty of ice cream left for all of us."
By the time he arrived, his bandmates were already eagerly munching away. The ice cream man shook his head.
"I'm sorry," he told Mike. "Those were my last three ice creams. I'm all sold out."
