Huddling in her jacket as she headed back home, Buffy was starting to feel the meaning of the expression “walk of shame.”
The few people she met on her path so early in the morning were too preoccupied with their scheduled daily tasks to even notice her disheveled state; nonetheless she felt like they were watching and judging her for the night of depravity and passion she’d shared with Spike. Everything felt like an endless downward spiral.
She kept her gaze down, hanging her head low, avoiding to meet anyone’s eyes for fear that they’d see the guilt in hers.

Date: 2025-02-26 03:04 pm (UTC)Alas. 😢
(meanwhile SMG still refuses to see that, but that's a different story. Or is it?)

Date: 2025-02-27 04:28 am (UTC)And why can I NOT help seeing that this happened with Michelle practically on the heels of SMG saying she's bringing Buffy back, and the fact that we've now had AT LEAST three actors who played beloved characters on the show already pass????

Date: 2025-03-02 02:09 pm (UTC)And yes, I know we can't solely blame the show for Andy or (especially) Glenn. But I've also watched an interview recently where James talks about how sweet Andy always was to everyone, and how Andy was always in such pain because of the contact lenses they used to make the Host's eyes red...
Let's also not forget that Eliza has COMPLETELY changed her life, first going to Washington DC to try to fight for women's rights and then moving into alternative therapy. I'm sure what they all went through to bring us the show and these characters and relationships we adore so much has even played a role in Nicholas' drowning in the bottle.

Date: 2025-03-02 04:13 pm (UTC)Which makes it for me even harder to understand why SMG all of a sudden changed her mind after spending pretty much 20+ years saying over and over that she didn't see the need for a reboot/sequel/whatever and wasn't interested in reprising Buffy's role. It was quite disappointing to watch her do such a complete 180, tbh.
And the more I think of it, the more convinced I am that she has a plan to kick Spuffy and all us fans to hell. I just can't trust her on this, I'm sorry.

Date: 2025-03-11 12:43 am (UTC)I DID stumble across a mention (from years ago) of Sarah admitting that James was irreplaceable in the series, but even still, I just cannot seem to hold out hope... And I'm sorry, but it HAS to be money. Why else now??? After all these years of her refusing to indulge any idea that the series might return or be rebooting/revised/revisited in some way??? She may even have valid reasons for needing the money -- too many celebrities don't invest well and end up broke -- but I just... CAN'T... :'(
