This is the antithesis of a good night.
Trapped in Monica's room, she, Joey, Chandler, and Phoebe can only listen helplessly as Ross and Rachel argue. They're forced to listen in pain as the relationship they'd witnessed coming together now tears itself apart.
This is not the time for taking sides. There'll be other opportunities to piece together which of the two is right, and which is wrong. While they all have vague opinions, none is eager to voice them.
It was supposed to be Ross and Rachel, to the end.
But the end has come much sooner than believed.
