"Few more, today," Lancelot said as he ran his fingers over Siegfried's skin. They had washed off the sweat and dirt from their morning spar and now Lancelot was taking stock.
"Oh?"
"Only a few," Lancelot continued as he moved his fingers to trace the now-familiar scales that tended to appear along Siegfried's shoulders and spine when things got heated. "Same texture as the others."
He didn't entirely want to stop touching them, but he didn't say it. Anything else could wait until the evening, even if the scales were no longer present.
Though Lancelot rather hoped they would be.
