Summary: Though Ming Yi's skeleton reacts, it is far too late for him to do anything.
The skull’s empty sockets stared at He Xuan from among the jumbled heap of bones. He Xuan gazed steadily back. Though Ming Yi’s skeleton might shake in anger at hearing He Xuan called by Ming Yi’s own title in front of him, there was nothing a dead god could do to stop him.
It didn’t matter now whether Xie Lian set the bones respectfully back on the altar or left them scattered.
The prey he wanted was in his lair. He only had to send away Crimson Rain and his scrap god, and then he could savor his long-delayed vengeance.
