As all the leaves begin to turn
For cooler temperatures you yearn
Though it's still summer, as you know
In such a short time, it will go
For now autumn is drawing quite near
Bringing with it days sweet and clear
And as crisp as you can hope to feel
As Time keeps turning on its wheel
Hold it close, for it will not last
Yes, hold it oh, so tight and fast
