"I didn't know you went in for crystal-gazing," Rachel remarked.
"Oh, this?" Phoebe picked up a gleaming quartz orb. "I don't. I just have this because it's pretty. It does come in handy whenever Joey pops in for a movie night, though."
Rachel frowned, perplexed. "How?"
"Every time he gets a little piggy about the popcorn, I start mumbling some oogly-boogly nonsense over it. You know how Joey's scared of ghosts, so I tell him vaguely that the spirits disapprove of his recent greedy actions. It gives me a little time to munch until he calms back down."
