Spike moved the lit candle slightly to the side, and stepped back to look at his bedroom in the lower section of the crypt.
It looked cozy and—dare he say—almost romantic in the flickering lights of the scented candles; perfect for a date night, if she would only allow him to ask her out officially.
He wasn’t a fool. He knew that Buffy would never go out on a date with him, so he wouldn’t make the mistake to ask. But he could set up his place nicely and make it look like a date.
She probably wouldn’t notice, anyway.
