Padding into the kitchen, Dawn found her sister perched on a stool, tapping on Willow’s laptop. “Buffy?”
“Morning, Dawnie.”
The teen poured cereal in her bowl. “What are you doing?”
“Looking up recipes online,” she said. “Willow and Tara kept you fed and all so far, but… I gotta take it from here.”
Dawn peered at the screen over her shoulder. “Anything easier than ragu sauce? Like, I don’t know, chicken noodle soup?”
“What? No, you’re not sick!” she protested. “Besides, this sounds easy enough: simmer, let thicken, stir occasionally. I can do that.”
“Yeah, I’ll get the fire extinguisher.”
