"No fights tonight," David said as they got out of the jeep and Dead End just laughed.
"That's a suggestion, right?" he asked with a grin. "Or are you going to hold my hand so I can't throw any punches?"
"We both know that won't stop you." But David would try, and he'd long gotten over the odd stares they'd get on the streets and avenues of the old town. Keeping out of the alleys and a few scuffles was a bit more difficult...
But they'd get there some day.
And yeah, he'd hold Dead End's hand the whole time.
