Summary: There are certain advantages to the countryside which Lex has most definitely come to enjoy.

Cornfield after cornfield passed by Lex in a blur. He couldn't really see them for the mist that had settled over the Spring-kissed, farming grounds, but he knew they were there. He had abhorred his father's banishment of him to the countryside, but he had since found certain privileges to being far out here away from the city. The peace he could gain, no matter how furious Lionel made him, by charging through these endless dirt roads with a powerful machine in his fingers was definitely one of the best.

But only one. Lex had slowed down for he was coming towards the home of the other one and knew Clark did not approve of his speeding. He worried for the animals or that a child might wander out into the road, although where Clark thought a child was coming from out here on his father's land was another mystery to Lex, Clark being the mystery that most puzzled him. He'd always enjoyed a good puzzle, though, and he'd undo Clark's mystery, one piece at a time.

He was sliding by the Kents' fence when he saw movement out of the corner of his eye. Coming to a crawl, he turned and watched as a figure rode out of the mist. Slowly, Lex was able to make a form out through the haze and found a noticeable lump forming both in his throat and between his legs. Clark Kent was definitely a mystery, but he was as much more than a mystery as he was more than a mere farmer bumpkin.

The younger man had quite the head on his shoulders, but that wasn't his best attribute. Lex found himself currently watching his best attribute, solid, young muscles moving fluidly behind flannel and blue jeans. He stopped his convertible in the middle of the road as he watched, his throat tight, Clark bobbing up and down in the saddle. A more poetical person might have likened the image to a Knight riding out of the mist in the olden times, but for Lex --

Lex groaned softly, his grip tightening on his steering wheel. Clark was as of yet too young. It wouldn't do for him to make his move now, not to mention the boy was completely besotted with his neighbor, but he couldn't lie to himself. He wanted nothing more than to feel Clark's power bobbing up and down beneath him. Lex bit his bottom lip and moaned, one hand going to his trousers, but he stopped the movement when he noticed that Clark had stopped on the other side of the post and was watching him intently.

Suddenly hoping Clark couldn't see through his car, Lex yanked his hand away and hesitantly rolled down his window. "Beautiful... morning," he added, almost as an after-thought.

Clark nodded, and his wide, tooth-filled grin again made Lex's heart beat harder. "It is! Race you?"

"You can't win."

"Wanna bet?" He grinned playfully, then snapped the reins and was gone. Lex followed.
