Summary:
Tim often thought he was blessed; he was blessed with a sister that loved him.
As he was curled up on his bed he didn’t feel blessed. He had been sick with the flu all day. He had the chills and the only reason he hadn’t thrown up was because he had been too weak to eat.
‘Skippy.’
He heard a voice and opened his eyes. Hawk was staring down at him.
‘Hey, I tried to call your cell but you didn’t answer and I was worried.’
‘I’m sick.’
‘Yeah I can see that. You want me to get you some food?’ Hawk asked as he ran his fingers through Tim’s hair and slid his hand down to cup Tim cheek. Tim nuzzled into the touch.
‘Yeah.’
‘Okay. I’ll be right back.’
Tim closed his eyes and just let the sound on Hawk moving through the apartment wash over him.
After several minutes Hawk came back holding a bowl. He sat it on Tim’s bedside table and helped Tim sit up. He was slightly dizzy but it passed quickly.
Hawk climbed into the bed and Tim snuggled into his side. Hawk took his hand and laced their fingers together.
Tim let out a sigh.
‘Feeling better?’ Hawk asked as he kissed the top of Tim’s head.
‘Yeah.’
‘Good. I was thinking, maybe you should move in with me.’
‘Why Hawkins Fuller. Are you asking me to go steady?’ Tim said jokingly.
‘I’m serious. My place is too big and I can take care of you if you get sick again.’
Tim turned around and cupped Hawk’s face. ‘In that case, I will move in.’
The Catholic Church might say that love was a sin, but he was blessed with Hawk and wanted nothing more than to spend their lives together.
