There was only quiet and peace in Canaan, and the day was much like any other. The book in front of him was worn and familiar. His coffee cup was still about half-full.
And Lucifer simply gazed past everything silently, alone.
In the long history of his existence, his time with Cosmos was undeniably brief and yet it was a time he kept drifting back to. When things were too quiet, he thought of her and their conversations and how in that time they had changed.
He turned a page he hadn't bothered to read.
"Cosmos, if you're still watching..."
