Time didn’t pass in the TVA which was why Mobius decided to stay on Don’s timeline. He had heard that time healed all wounds, but even though he had spent a whole day on the timeline he still had a Loki shaped hole in his heart.
After it got dark, he walked through the town Don lived in. He passed a motel and decided to stay there. Perhaps a good night sleep would help and he didn’t want to go back to the TVA just yet; he couldn’t bear to see all the places where Loki wasn’t.
He noticed a sign that said you could pay by the hour and he wondered why someone would want to stay just for an hour.
He went up to the front desk and paid for the night. He took his room key and went to his room.
The room was small with a single bed and the brown and orange wallpaper reminded him of the walls of the TVA.
He took off his suit and climbed into bed.
‘Goodnight, Loki,’ he said.
He thought he saw a green light in the corner of his eye, but that might have just been his imagination.
