Spike groaned, pushing the cookie cutter into the dough while Buffy and Dawn kneaded more of that. How did the Summers women always rope him into doing that kind of stuff?
“How many sodding gingerbread men are we making?” he asked. “And do we have to listen to this fa-la-la-la-la rubbish all the time?”
“It’s Christmas music, Spike. Don’t be such a Grinch,” said Buffy with a wink.
The oven timer dinged and Dawn bounced with excitement. “First batch is ready!” she exclaimed. “Spike, will you get it please? And careful, it’s hot.”
“Fine,” he grumbled, grabbing the oven mitts.
