"Are you still working on that?"
Fayt hadn't even heard the workshop door, but there Albel was, arms crossed and staring him down.
"Cleaning up," Fayt quickly admitted. He'd started sweeping up the scattered flecks of his last failed attempt before getting distracted and making a few more notes. Each failure had brought him far closer to a success, at least. He'd learned quite a bit, though he wasn't sure Albel wanted to hear about all of that.
"It's late, clean faster."
Fayt noticed the lack of insult and couldn't help smiling.
Albel just stared.
Far closer to a success.
