Once he was satisfied with the filling, Spike dropped the toasted sandwich onto a plate, then he picked it up along with a water jug and placed them in front of Dawn at the kitchen table.
“There you go,” he said.
Her eyes lit up when she peeked under the top slice of bread. “Tuna, cheese, and tomato. Yummy!” she exclaimed, before taking a generous bite.
Spike smirked. “Looks like I’m starting to get the hang of this cooking thing, eh?”
She downed her food with a sip of water. “Yeah. May I hire you like… forever?”
He shrugged. “Sure.”
