I am not fantastic at composing poetic rhymes
To literature, my poems are practically crimes
I just write them when inspiration goes on strike
But people always seem them oddly to like
I suppose there is no accounting for taste
Maybe when writing poems my time I don't waste
Though with them I seldom do have a ball
It's rare for me to like my own poems, at all
However, I do always feel so much gratitude
To those who accept them with a kind attitude
It's marvelous that people are so gracious
Their hearts must be truly rather spacious
