The fledgling’s dust dissolved before he’d had the time to realize what happened. “That’s what you get for bothering me after I just finished selling greasy hamburgers,” mumbled Buffy, heading to the Hawley mausoleum.
She flung the creaky door open, finding Spike sprawled on his armchair, watching TV. “Good, you’re here. Let’s get this over with.”
“Wouldn’t kill you to seduce me a little first, luv.”
“Isn’t my bright orange cow outfit seducing enough? It’s all the rage at Victoria’s Secret, you know?”
“It’s cute,” he said, walking up to her. “Even cuter when I peel it off of you.”
