Do not take a stray shot in the dark
If you must go around wasting bullets
Then please go do it out in the vacant park

You may think that you're being oh, so clever
Doing misdeeds that no one else can see
But, hey, neither can you in the darkness
And you will trip if you then opt to flee

So don't shoot a gun in a blackout
For the shadows will get in the way
Besides, if you wait until sunrise
You'll find murder is much more fun by day
