Title: Wrath, Forever More
Fandom: Once Upon A Time
Characters/Pairings: Regina
Word Count: 500
Rating: PG-13/T
Summary: Regina will have her full revenge.
Regina walked into the stables, her head held high. Everything else around this old livery was new and enchanted, but she had kept the stables as close to the original as the spell had allowed. It had seemed impossible, at the time she had cast the spell, that her resolve to earn her revenge would ever lessen, but there were times, these days, that it did. There were times when she feared, most of all, not never getting her revenge but of losing Henry. In truth, she did have her revenge already.
She had had it for some time now. Snow White, or Mary Margaret as she was called these days, would never again have the happiness she had shared with Charming. She would never again know the feelings of which Regina herself had been robbed by her childish foolishery. She would never know, in this lifetime, how it felt or what it meant to truly be loved. She would never know the wonders of marital bliss, or have a kingdom all ready to follow her to certain death against their deserving Queen. What had been taken from Regina and Daniel had also been completely stolen from Snow. Why, Regina was pretty certain that some of the nuns saw more action than Snow White did these days!
Her upper lip began to curl back into a silent snarl, but then she thought of Henry. She thought of the look in his eyes when she had chastised him yet again for reading that cursed fairy tale book that Mary Margaret had somehow magically managed to find. (She still needed look into whether or not Gold could somehow be behind her procurement of that blasted book.) The book was a problem. Mary Margaret was still a problem, and now she was running interference in Regina's son's life, in the life of the only being Regina had who still loved her.
Regina closed her eyes and drew in the scent of hay and antique manure. Anyone else would wonder why on Earth she would deign to step into these stalls, but Regina could still hear his cries, and not just Daniel's. Her fingers curled around the posts where she'd once laid his tack. That horse had meant so much to her. He had even led her to Daniel, and to them falling in love with each other. "We will have our revenge, my pretties."
Thunder suddenly rolled across the swiftly darkening sky. Regina breathed again, welcoming the memories, allowing the pain, embracing the pain, and turning it into her fury and wrath as she always did. "Snow White will rue the day she hurt us, the day she took you both from me!" Death was still too good for the blasted Princess. She had to suffer, and she would, forever, with Regina controlling every aspect of her poor, pitiful life. And she would not take Henry -- or, if she did, Regina would find a way to keep her slowly roasting alive forever more.
