Life-Partner (298 words) by look_turtles
Chapters: 1/1
Fandom: The Mandalorian (TV)
Rating: General Audiences
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Relationships: Din Djarin/Cobb Vanth
Summary:
Din never thought he would have a life-partner but here he was inside the house in Freetown he shared with Cobb.
He was standing in front of Cobb as he gently removed Din’s helmet. It was part of the creed that only a life-partner could remove a Mandalorian’s helmet when they were alone. He had already removed his body armor and was in his under clothes, but removing the helmet seemed so much more intimate.
‘Well aren’t you a pretty thing,’ Cobb said as he stared at Din.
Din felt his face heat up. He moved close and brushed their lips together.
As they kissed, Cobb brought his hands up and kneaded Din’s shoulders.
Din deepened the kiss and wanted to feel skin against skin. He broke the kiss just long enough to remove Cobb’s shirt. The fabric was worn soft.
He wrapped his arms around Cobb and held him close. His hands slid over Cobb’s back and the skin was rough.
‘Huh?’
‘What is it?’ Cobb asked.
‘Your back. It feels strange.’
Cobb moved away from Din’s embrace and turned around. His back was covered with jagged, faded scars.
‘I was a slave for a time and didn’t much care for being told what to do. My owner used to beat me with a laser whip.’
Cobb turned back around and stood close to Din.
‘I’m sorry,’ Din said and he held Cobb close and inhaled his cool scent and reveled in how warm his skin felt.
‘It’s okay. That’s in the past and my future looks a might brighter now that you and the kid are in it.’
Din kissed Cobb and couldn’t help but agree.
He never thought he’d have a life-partner, but now he couldn’t wait to see what their future had to bring.
