After another rent-related ultimatum, the door slammed behind Babbitt.
Micky put up his fists, pretending to box the space where he'd been. "Get lost, you rotten egg!"
The door burst back open, knocking Micky to the floor. Babbitt loomed over him ominously.
"What was that, Dolenz," he growled.
"I...was...gonna fry some eggs," Micky weakly offered. "Want some?"
"No, thanks," a now uncertain landlord mumbled, making his second exit.
Chuckling, Mike pulled some bacon out of the icebox, tossing it to Micky. "You might need this."
"What for," Micky asked.
"To go with that egg on your face."
