Summary: Looking across the aisle at the boy, Kagome took in every detail.
He was doing it again.
Kagome couldn't understand the new boy. His head was always on his desk, arms folded around it. Kagome would have thought that he was sleeping through class, but he always turned in his work, and had great marks. If she had to guess, she could only figure that he got away with it due to those marks.
Looking across the aisle at the boy, Kagome took in every detail. Was his hair really that silver, or was it just that the sunlight streaming in through the window made it look that way?
"Higurashi!"
Letting out a startled squawk, Kagome turned her attention to the teacher. He was glaring at her sternly.
"If you could stop daydreaming, please," he warned, "and give my lecture that same level of fascination, I'd appreciate it."
"I'm sorry," she gasped, feeling her cheeks go hot. Gripping her pencil tightly, she tried to focus.
But a low, soft chuckle made her turn back in the new student's direction.
One bright, almost gold eye was staring back at her. And she could just make out an amused smirk on his face.
Blushing even harder, Kagome turned away, trying to concentrate.
Damn him!
