The moment Babbitt stomped into the Pad, something round and multicolored collided with his face.
"Ouch," he hollered. "What was that?!"
"It was just a beach ball," Micky told him, scampering to retrieve it. "You sorta got caught in the line of fire, there. Sorry," he weakly chuckled.
Davy quickly stepped in. "Of course, we've got house rules against playing with them indoors. Don't we, Micky," he added through clenched teeth.
Micky stared at him. "Huh--oww!" He cringed, moving quickly away before Davy could stomp on his toes again. "Uh, that's right," he hastily agreed. "It won't happen again."
