Title: You are welcome
Character: Casey Connor, Zeke Tyler

Prompt: welcome

„Welcome back in my garage,“ Zeke said.
Casey breathed in deeply, still unsure if he wanted to go inside. All too well, he did remember the night when he had been here for the first time. A nightmare he would have preferred to forget.
He still couldn't get it that Zeke had decided to rebuild the garage. „You have a whole house for yourself; why don't you choose another room for your lab,“ he had asked him. But Zeke had shaken his head. „The garage always was my home; the house is only a much too big and empty place. To move in there is more frightening than facing the nightmares about an alien invasion.“
„C'mon, give it a chance," Zeke interrupted his thoughts," and if you feel too uncomfortable, we can still go to Annie's for a muffin. My treat.“
He couldn't help but chuckle. „Fair deal,“ he said. And stepped forward. „Shiiit!“
„So bad?“
Casey looked around in the narrow but long room with his eyes wide open. Nothing did remind at the cram-full laboratory with a mix of old furniture anymore. A new steely lab table with fitting shelves at one side, a desk with a high-tech PC, Casey could only dream about, at the other. A comfy-looking bed couch, red-brown striped, which greatly contrasted the white-painted walls and the two posters placed on it.
Starwars and... Casey laughed, all uneasiness gone. „This is great, so much better than the dusty, dark room from before. But since when you are a fan of Einstein?“
Zeke grinned wide. „I knew, you would like this.“
„It's your garage!“
„Depends on you.“ Zeke shrugged. „I got the feeling that you can need a safe haven now and then. You are always welcome here.“
