There is no such thing as lonesomeness
When I am completely surrounded by good books
Though they make my bedroom quite a mess
Shoved in all of the crannies and nooks
A book is for me the finest of any company
Whenever my mind has begun feeling a bit bored
Adventure, comedy, mystery, or history
Few literary topics are ever ignored
Whenever a gift people want to me give
Few other things can ever bring me so much delight
When I open the covers up, then I really start to live
And I have often read straight through the night
