Summary: Through old shingles drips the rain
Jagged lightning forks down from the sky
Illuminating eerie things to the wary eye
That may just make the viewer let out a scream
Or, if they're lucky, then only to fitfully dream
On the cold wind, dark clouds are blown
Each breeze causes ghastly creaks and moans
At the old and long abandoned house
That's otherwise silent as a mouse
Through old shingles drips the rain
As though the house weeps in pain
At its woeful state of abandonment
For through its halls perhaps are sent
Ghosts and ghouls who description defies
And shadows stare forth with glowing eyes
