Title: East vs West
"What do you think of the food we've been importing from Ventania?"
Sakuna sniffed, "Good, I guess. Nothing special."
"I'd have thought you would love the beer."
"What's wrong with sake? Its stronger and doesn't give you wind."
"The potatoes seemed to go down quite well."
"I don't see why. They're just less tasty yams. And don't get me started on the cheese," she stuck out her tongue.
"Do I detect a hint of competitiveness, hm?" Kokorowa laughed, "Maybe even jealousy?"
Sakuna glared at her, "What are you trying to say? Why would I be jealous?"
"Well, Myrthe's traditional meals seem to be massively popular right now..."
"Hmph, its just a fad," she folded her arms, "People will get bored once it stops being new. Besides, Myrthe's bound to be better at cooking her homeland's food, she's probably done so all her life!"
"Maybe an actual competition is in order," Kokorowa mused, "Myrthe versus one of our own master chefs. This year's harvest festival, perhaps?"
"Well, I'm certainly up for settling the score," said Sakuna.
"Excellent!" Kokorowa rubbed her hands together. The event would hopefully attract a lot more customers, who would probably enjoy and buy both types of food.
