Summary: It has to be something you can imagine vividly and that matters to you enough to come home to.
"Never go into the Eclipse alone," Mitsuki warned them, glaring pointedly at her co-presenter of the workshop, "That includes you, Asuka. And if you want to get out safely, its still important that you have a psychic anchor, or a beacon. Something that's vivid in your mind, that you can picture clearly even when your mind is clouded, something that you will always have strong feelings about wanting to return to. That way, it will guide you back to the real world. Of course, it doesn't have to be an 'it'. It's often a person or a place. Although we advise that it actually currently exists, and that it's something you're allowed to have access to, or your longing for it might get picked up by something in the Eclipse and summon a powerful Greed. Some of us have even been possessed..."
"Someone on your mind, Tokisaka? You're blushing," Rion teased him in a whisper clearly intended to be heard. He flinched, causing her to cackle even more. He muttered something dismissive that was probably rather harsher than he intended
"Fine, keep your secret, we'll have to leave it to my imagination," she said in a sing-song voice, already taking out her phone and writing something suspect on NiAR.
He shrugged. He knew all his rumoured crushes - Asuka, Sora, Shiori, occasionally Rion or Mitsuki. He had to admit they were all close second choices. He didn't, however, want to admit to anyone - not yet, anyway - that he had been thinking of a certain pair of hands, larger and rougher than his, helping him drive a motorcycle from the back seat, passing him a bowl of freshly made soba, binding his wounds after a tough battle... brushing against his own for what felt like a little too long to be an accident as they sat on a bench in the Memorial Park, sharing a bento box 'because it was more economical that way', watching the cherry blossoms fall, comfortable with their own silent thoughts in a way that they weren't with the others. Then there was the time they had gone together on a swan boat across the lake... to test it was working, of course, just to make some cash...

He supposed he would have to be more honest with himself about his feelings for Shio if he were to rely on them as a psychic beacon.
