Just check me all out
The medal will be mine
There now is no doubt

The starting gun flares
And down deep I do dive
I'm swimming so hard
How can I stay alive

I'm on the last lap now
I'm cutting through the water
I bet that my mom
Is sure proud of her daughter

Oh, darn, but it's not real
Everything goes so fuzzy
I'm here in my shower
It's steamy and muzzy

Okay, so I'm not on
Some great Olympic team
But, hey, what the heck
A woman can still dream
