O saudade
How it pierces through my heart
As toward my home
Fate will not let me again start

All is gone
The house that I held close and dear
And the roads
No longer seem so bright and clear

Sold away
Is all that I once treasured and loved
The vast fields
And the blissful blue sky above

But memories
Not even Time can dare to take away
And in my heart
In that little town I will always stay

O saudade
Like needles does it me strike
I like it here
But my home it is nothing like
