"Ugh..." Amy shifted in bed, fixing the alarm clock with a solid glare. One hand reached out, unsteadily, to push the Snooze button.
Rory gently swatted her hand away. "Stop that," he told her, climbing out of bed. "I've got an early shift today."
She glanced toward the window, frowning at the thick clouds. "But it's so murky and cold out there," she grumbled. "If we were with the Doctor, we could be in a nice, beautiful forest. The sun would be shining--"
"And the trees would probably be eating us," her husband helpfully pointed out to her.
