'Ceaseless discharge' was not a dignified name. Indeed, his existence was not a dignified state, he had to admit. His sisters had made several attempts to rename him. What they didn't realise was that the name was only a rough translation of the name given to him by the fire itself, whispered to him by the crackling of the flames, the primordial words hidden in their rumbling and hissing. To even be spoken to by Fire itself was an honour beyond words, given only to their perfect child who had sacrificed their whole being to be reborn in their image.
