Title: A Beer With Michael
Sara lifted the small glass of light golden beer, took a long swig, then slammed it back down on the table and let out a ladylike belch.
"Nice," she concluded, stretching and yawning, "Thanks."
"Your thoughts on the taste?" inquired Major Irving, taking another sip of his own beer.
"Kinda light, but good for a starter. Kinda fancy hitting the hard stuff now, anyway."
"I for one enjoyed the citrus aftertaste," he said, "Most refreshing. Sharp, not too hopped."
"I can never get these things they talk about. Beer's just beer."
"I thought that, maybe with you appreciating beer so much..."
She shrugged, "People keep telling me its supposed to come with experience but to me it all tastes the same. Sure, there's good beer and not so good beer, stronger and weaker, but all those complicated tastes..."
"Well, it doesn't matter so much as long as you're enjoying the drink."
"Hey, it's all part of the experience - going to a nice bar in Heimdallr, getting a handsome, mature, strapping, military guy to buy me a drink..."
"This is a friendly drink between colleagues, Instructor Valestein..."
"Yeah, sure, just friendly," she grinned wickedly, draining the rest of the glass.
