Summary: He deserves this loneliness he feels.
He doesn't remember how the end began; it's enough that he can vaguely remember how it ended: In ash and dust and grief. With a vast, obscene blankness where his world once drifted. Pain cluttering up both of his hearts, nearly choking the very lives out of him.
At times, he almost wishes the pain would do precisely that. Of all the madness that he's seen in all his years, who would have thought that things would come to this?
He deserves this loneliness he feels. He knows that, deep inside. He's deliberately, irreversibly, divided himself from his own kind.
