Title: Don't Forget To Catch Me
The exact same thing had happened again. He'd met the woman he saw in dreams, who he was destined to meet, and he'd let her go. Literally dropped her from a great height.
The first time, Jack had been mouthing off with his usual counterproductive 'helpful advice' and she'd been barely holding onto the side of the ledge and she'd deliberately let go in the end because of stubborn pride. This time round he'd just plain failed her. He was supposed to carry her but the place was crumbling around him and he'd fallen as well but Jack had managed to rescue him - then the jerk had the nerve to charge him money for it!
Once again he wondered how he even remembered the last time, whether it had been part of the dream, whether any of it had really been a dream, but more importantly, how many more of these chances he was going to get. He had the feeling, a kind of deja vu, weary but also maddeningly confusing, that this had happened quite a few times now.
He also wondered what the hell he was going to tell her sister the next time he saw her...
