People who don't get into the holiday spirit
Are about as annoying as annoying can be
How could anybody ever bemoan or deny
The beauty and charm of a Christmas tree

There's always a strong and conscious choice
That each of us has the chance to make
Do we act like Scrooge or like the Grinch
And everyone else's cheer we selfishly take

Or do we act with kindness and plenty of love
All nestled cozily in the corner of our hearts
And give each other a friendly smile or two
As for me, I'd rather take this happier part
