Title: 'A Trick Or Two'
Fandom: Doctor Who
Characters/Pairings: The Doctor, unspecified companion
Word Count: 100
Rating: G
Summary: "The old girl can take care of herself."
I'd always believed the Cyclopes to be mythological, until I crouched behind a boulder, watching a Cyclops bashing away at the TARDIS.
"Uhm, Doctor," I murmured, hoping that it wouldn't hear me, "shouldn't we do something about this?"
"Don't worry," he assured me with a mild grin. "The old girl can take care of herself."
My first instinct was to ask him what he meant--but I was immediately distracted as the TARDIS dematerialized, much to the Cyclops' confusion--and rematerialized around us.
"You see," the Doctor grinned in satisfaction. "She knows a trick or two, my silly old box."
