Day 10:

 

Things I have observed to exist on the Surface now include: flowers that do not know all your deepest secrets and desecrate death itself and eat souls. Also dogs. The dogs work pretty much how they do Underground. I saw a dog, white and fluffy like normal dogs but quite large, run around in a circle barking and it produced a patch of flowers in many colours, shapes and sizes. I was afraid but it was kinda beautiful. The dog carried a shield that was on fire and held a paintbrush in her mouth like my old friend Sorry. I tried to hide behind a tree but she noticed me and stared straight at me with deep, dark eyes like Toriel's. I felt like she was talking in my mind but not with words. She understood that we were new to this world and we'd left a lot behind us, that our history hadn't always been good, but as long as we kept out of trouble and didn't harm her flowers or the sun in her sky, we were welcome here.

 

I think I've seen something special, something that people on the Surface don't even see very often.
