Title: Fickle Fortune
With a firm but gentle tap to the clasp, the lid of the ornate silver pocket watch sprung open. Arcane and divine energy flowed through the relic, causing the delicate-looking hands to spin backwards impossibly fast, releasing a brilliant golden glow. Space and time distorted into a ripple with no beginning or end inside the area illuminated by the turning clock face. Then, with a final blinding flash, someone appeared, a shape beginning to take form inside the chaos.
A familiar figure stepped out.
"Hello again, Jessica," Matthew growled.
"Your luck sure sucks, huh?" the sorceress flashed a knowing smile.
