Summary: Monica returned to the stove, humming to herself as she cooked.
"Looks like it's gonna be a storm," Monica murmured to herself, taking in the sight of the clouds that were gathering over the city.
Smiling, she headed to the kitchen, firing up her stovetop and setting a large pot onto the burner. Dumping vegetable stock into it, she set it to boil, before unfolding a thick blanket and draping it over the couch. Sooner or later, the gang would be in, gravitating to her as they always did; being cold outside, they'd be chilly, and wanting to cover up against the temperatures.
Outside, there was the low booming of thunder, followed by a sudden downpour.
Monica returned to the stove, humming to herself as she cooked. Chopping vegetables, she slid them into the simmering stock, before turning her attention to preparing some beef. Carefully, she set a bowl aside; while the others would all appreciate the protein fix, Phoebe would have a conniption fit if her vegetarianism wasn't respected. The stew being, in effect, finished, Monica scooped a bowlful of it for Phoebe, setting it aside, before adding the meat for everyone else.
Soon enough, the door opened, the others slowly trailing into the apartment. Wordlessly grateful, they dug in.
