Zeta frowned and fought the urge to nudge their campfire's flames a bit hotter. This certainly wasn't going to be a fancy meal, but it could at least be thoroughly cooked!
"Patience," Vaseraga said a moment later, as if he could read her mind. "A little more time will help the flavor."
"Yeah..." Zeta sat back and very quietly did not admit that Vaseraga was entirely correct here. Honestly, anything that would help the flavor of their dinner wouldn't be a bad thing.
"We'll just have to go get something tasty when we get paid."
"I'll even let you treat."
